Here is my verse for the 15th - just a little late since I was at Fall Creek Falls last week with no Internet access.
2 Timothy 2: 24 TNIV
And the Lord's servant should not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful.
(I picked this one from my study of 2 Timothy this week because it reminded me that if I am going to teach I can not hold any resentment for any student that complains or treats me disrespectfully.)
Here are my other verses in backwards order:
1 Corinthians 10:31
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
Ephesians 5: 19-20
Speak to each other with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, giving things to God the Father for everything in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
James 4: 7-8
Submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you.
Isaiah 43:18-19
Forget the former things, do not dwell on the past. See I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
Phil. 3. 12-14
Not that I have already obtained all this or have arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself to have yet taken hold of it. But one thing I do, forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on to that for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
